Visiting Mindo Ecuador

Outdoor Mindo adventure activities
Zip line: Zipping across the amazing cloud forest mountains. You can choose between two or 10 zip lines. The two guides will be accompanying you all the Mindo zip line tour. The one hour adventure has 10 zips of several lengths with 2,650 meters high. You will enjoy the incredible views and hikes. All gear is provided. Children go with the guide.
Rappelling: It is a challenging and rewarding activity for everyone. You will hike up the waterfall. It´s dry so you put on the equipment and learn the technique. Then you descend into the canyon on about 20, 15 and 12 meters. This adventure is safe for the whole family for 10 years up.
Visiting Mindo Ecuador
Horseback riding: This activity is relaxing and really enjoyable because you will know all the nature, riding trough the rivers, forest, and farms. Mindo horseback riding is fun for families or friends.
Tarabita and hike to waterfalls: Get to Mindo waterfalls you need to cross the jungle in the Tarabita (small cable car) to the path of falls, then you start hike down to the waterfalls by different trails. It is not necessarily a guide. You can hike on your own.
Bird watching: Mindo is recognized places in the world for its richness in bird species. You need to get a tour with a guide specialist in birding to enjoy the several species of birds. Birding guides have a telescope and binoculars. The best place to see Cock of the Rock leak is at Paz de las Aves, it´s necessary to rent a truck to get there from Mindo, it takes around 15 minutes.
Tubing: Splash in the Mindo river! You are bound to have an amazing time. Tubing in Mindo is different compared to other places I have seen. This adventure consists in five tubes tied together as the picture. You go with a guide. It is really fun. You also can do in another river for more time. Helmets and save jackets are provided.
Indoor relaxing activities
Mindo Chocolate tour: It is an interesting tour where you will know more about Ecuadorian chocolate, how they make, taste pure chocolate with different flavors and good brownie.
Butterfly garden: This place is a fantastic biosphere for butterflies. It is a greenhouse with several species of butterflies flying and eating colorful flowers. You can feed them.
Orchid garden: Nice and small sanctuary. You will see many orchid species of different sizes. There are also hummingbirds.
